We used to ride from Sandyford to Glendo and do the miners trail..before they built the Boardwalks and the savage frickin paved trail they have now..or at least they had before Mother Nature gave those National Park Fascists the finger !!
You always had to do the ferocious fireroad..but then they lashed in the sleepers halfway up to Lugduff..half way ? why not all the way..then the EU decided that railway Sleepers coated in Creosote were bad for the environment !!
But i digress..heres the top of the fireroad before the last steep bit !!

except only mountainbikers appreciate this kind of shot..
or this one..whats that..Mountainbikers who know where they are going and what they are doing and are well equipped and experienced with emergencies and about 2 of them..holy shit..theres not a busload,walking 50 abreast on a bog !! with poles and a bagload of tissue paper tothrow at the Heather and bog cotton!!

I'm a mountainbiker..but i fuking bet I know more about the mountains, the plants, animals and what needs to be done to save it better than any casual walker
